This month was particularly rich in beautiful pictures of celestial objects proposed as usual by the NASA’s Astronomy Picture Of the Day (APOD)
So instead of proposing you eight pictures like I generally do, I chose ten photographs of nebulae, galaxies and the likes that are worth using as a wallpaper for your computer.
The image above is a detail of the Heart and Soul nebulae – called this way because the object on the right indeed looks like a heart – featured on this great website.
Without further ado, here is the list :
- M83: The Thousand-Ruby Galaxy
- Moon Rays over Byurakan Observatory
- A Darkened Sky
- Exploring the Ring
- The Heart and Soul Nebulas
- M33: Triangulum Galaxy
- Mountain Top Meteors
- M110: Satellite of the Andromeda Galaxy
- Milky Way Road Trip
- 31 Million Miles from Planet Earth
I hope you liked this list and look forward to reading your comments. Be sure that I will propose you next month another selection of the very best pictures of the APOD.
So, for this and for much more, stay tuned !
