Here is another really bad news : to the New York Times, there is enough coal in the mongolian soil to power China for fifty years. As you can imagine, this would have horrendous implications for global climate.
So the question is : how can we let Mongolian coal in the ground ? Treehugger proposes several ideas that all seem implosible nowadays. What if we found a way that would benefit Mongolia and its people ?
Coal is getting more and more expensive, so keeping all that crap where it is will probably require a lot of good will, ingeniosity and money…
