Given how we are on our way to warming global average temperatures by no less than 4 to 6 °C by the end of the century, stopping climate change seems already a huge ordeal and a tall order. It’s not a question of solutions, but of political courage.
Now according to Grist, a team of scientists have published a study claiming that bioenergy and carbon capture and storage (CCS) are the most cost-effective way to not only stop climate change, but also to reverse climate change.
To them, a huge expansion of renewables or nuclear would be needed to do so. But given how CCS is not available yet, let’s bank on energy efficiency right now !
